Timber Pro Yard Treatment is a great way to prevent additional prep work when your home is being built or restored. Prevent UV damage when you are waiting to stain. It helps prevent UV greying, yellowing and discoloration from fungus or moulds. It also helps to reduce checking that can happen from moisture loss as the logs dry.
Timber Pro Yard Treatment
Timber Pro Yard Treatment is a top-level coating treatment for logs and timber that builders use in the final stage of construction. This solution bases its unique formula on waterborne natural oil molecules that protect the wood against insects and UV radiation.
A single coat of Timber Pro Yard Treatment provides logs with a thin film of critical protection. This way, the wood can last for long before the builders use it for their woodworking projects. This coating solution repels both water and prevents discoloration. As a result, it is ideal for construction yards in both humid and arid climates.
Builders can also use Timber Pro Yard Treatment on green logs that have to sit for several months before construction begins. During this time, it will protect the wood against UV radiation, mold, and mildew.

Timber Pro Yard Treatment is designed as a treatment to reduce the unwanted discolouration of logs that are green or projects that must sit for months prior to finishing. Yard Treatment will offer short-term protection from discolouration from the sun’s UV rays, help reduce surface checking and warping associated with rapid moisture loss in the logs.
RESTRICTIONS
• Do not apply in direct sunlight or temperatures below 5C (40F) or above 25C (80F)
• Do not apply on surfaces hot to the touch
• Do not apply if rain or freezing temperature is likely to occur within 24 hours
• Do not thin the product
• Do not apply over previously coated surfaces

Measured Square Footage
Take each wall and multiply length x height. Example 40' long x 10' high= 400 sq. ft.
Add each wall together Example 400 + 400 + 250 + 250 = 1300 sq. ft.
For each of your gable ends (the triangles) use Base x Height/2
Example 30' x 15' = 450'/2 = 225 sq ft. Add all areas together.
Adjust for Type of Log
A round log has a different surface area than a flat timber. We must account for the curvature and size of the log so we don't end up short on stain. Select your log type
Maintenance Coat
Most maintenance coats are done with one coat, often clear. If you plan to add a coat of color and a clear, feel free to ask one of our specialists for some advice.
Surface Condition
Rough logs will take more stain than smooth logs. If your logs are rough, check off the box and it will calculate based on a rough surface.
