Timber Pro Log and Siding
Timber Pro’s Log & Siding Formula is an award-winning* log home finish that they are glad to provide their customers for a wide range of woodworking projects. This product is the result of 13 years of experience in developing eco-friendly wood finishes.
Due to its trans-lucid appearance, Timber Pro’s Log & Siding Formula is ideal for wood finishing or log restoration. For example, it can provide a waterproof barrier for siding from a variety of wood types, including teak, cedar, pine, mahogany, redwood, cypress, and fir, and others.
*Timber Pro’s Log & Siding Formula won 1st place in the 2008 Green Log Home and Lifestyle Award. During the contest, this wood finish received numerous votes from customers and industry experts.
Optimal for Interior Wood Stains
Timber Pro strongly recommends Timber Log & Siding Formula for interior wood staining. This product provides excellent protection against water and humidity. Also, it is transparent, so it doesn’t damage the appearance of wood paneling, ceilings, doors, or trim. Finally, if you also use the Crystal Urethane coating, you may obtain a stunning satin brilliance.
High-Performance and Longevity
Timber Log & Siding Formula is a durable wood finish with minimal risks for the environment. Furthermore, you can use it without risking intoxication from the fumes as is the case with other wood coatings.
To develop the Timber Log & Siding Formula, Timber Pro experts created a patented formula of safe sunscreens, sustainable alkyd oils, and waterborne micro-polymer resins. As a result, your log applications will benefit from a long-lasting, natural-looking finish that prevents graying and tone fading.
Contrary to other wood finishes, Their Timber Log & Siding Formula does not leave an oily film after it dries. Instead, it penetrates the wood deep enough to avoid dirt and pollen from entering its fibers. This high level of protection is possible thanks to their unique technology that enables oil and water to combine without separation.
By brushing the Timber Log & Siding Formula correctly on the wood (back brushing), you will prevent thick layers from covering its surface. This will also work the stain into all the cracks and crevices.
This formula is the favorite wood finish for both homeowners and commercial companies around North America. Many customers appreciate its natural look, durability, and longevity. Also, the eco-friendly standard separates Timber Log & Siding Formula from other similar products on the market.
Timber Log & Siding Formula is available through Canada’s Log & Wood Home Store and can be shipped coast to coast. Regardless of your choice, you will enjoy the same benefits of Timber Pro wood finish, such as:
-Remarkable durability even in highly humid climates
-Low VOC levels starting from less than 120 grams/liter
-Wide versatility for both exterior and interior wood applications
-Easy to clean with water and non-flammable
-Simple to spray or back brush

Stain Calculator
Measured Square Footage
Take each wall and multiply length x height. Example 40' long x 10' high= 400 sq. ft.
Add each wall together Example 400 + 400 + 250 + 250 = 1300 sq. ft.
For each of your gable ends (the triangles) use Base x Height/2
Example 30' x 15' = 450'/2 = 225 sq ft. Add all areas together.
Adjust for Type of Log
A round log has a different surface area than a flat timber. We must account for the curvature and size of the log so we don't end up short on stain. Select your log type
Maintenance Coat
Most maintenance coats are done with one coat, often clear. If you plan to add a coat of color and a clear, feel free to ask one of our specialists for some advice.
Surface Condition
Rough logs will take more stain than smooth logs. If your logs are rough, check off the box and it will calculate based on a rough surface.
Note: All calculations are estimated. Actual coverage will vary based on surface condition, species and moisture content.
